Este vino refleja, en palabras de los propietarios de la bodega, el perfil suave y elegante de la mejor Garnacha vieja de pizarra. La uva procede de viñedos tradicionales, cultivados en vaso y de secano, de forma sostenible, que permiten elaborar un vino clásico con el punto innovador que siempre ofrece esta bodega.

Mora considers the 2021 La Cerqueta his best old Garnacha on slate soils, produced with the grapes from a vineyard that's in conversion to organics at 630 meters in altitude. The whole clusters were foot trodden and fermented with indigenous yeasts with a long cuvaison of 76 days. It has 13.5% alcohol and a low pH of 3.25 coupled with close to six grams of acidity. This is superb. There is cleanliness, precision and symmetry here, and it's floral and perfumed and has tension and citrus freshness. As with many other wines, 2021 has to be the finest vintage for this wine yet. 4,352 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2023. - Luis Gutiérrez.
Another fabulous example of old vine Garnacha (75 years +) on slate soils at altitude from a small single vineyard. This is foot trodden, fermented with indigenous yeast and aged in foudres for a little over a year. 100% whole bunch brings an energy and lift to the wine which offers up pretty floral and cherry aromas with wild blood orange and citrus notes. At the same time this has some really appealing tannic grip which gives the wine structure and power. 2023 - 2029.
