The Wine Advocate:

Their iconic Syrah is the one that has been kept with the same label and all, but the 2021 Incógnito comes in at a moderate 12.7% alcohol, the vineyards have been in organic conversion since 2019, and the wine matured in used 500-liter barrels (and had six months of settling in stainless steel); in the past, this wine was a lot riper, with more extraction, and it was aged in a significant amount of new oak. So, while the looks are the same, the wine is quite different, and the cooler 2021 also helped to keep more freshness in the wine. The grapes were selected from a place they call Outeiro Velho, a hill with sandy limestone and silt soils. It fermented with 66% full clusters and had a short maceration of 3.5 weeks and a soft extraction. If the profile of the old vintages (it was first produced in 1998) was quite New World, this is now going to the other extreme—underripe and green, intensely herbal and losing the signature of the variety and place. Yes, it's light and fresh, and green... So what? 1,800 bottles and 100 magnums produced. It was bottled in March 2024.
