Racy and alive, the acidity is at the fore, carrying the lemon and lime citrus fruit with a soft, tangy sherbet element as well as a touch of honeyed richness that gives a sense of weight. Really well made, lovely intensity and balance and general appeal. Excellent. This will find a lot of fans. Apple, crisp and crunchy but not at all one dimensional.
There’s brightness and clarity, with aromas of sliced apples, mangoes and some sea salt. Medium- to full-bodied with density and intensity. A serious wine that’s waxy and phenolic. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
The 2023 Blanc from Château La Garde has turned out well in bottle, revealing aromas of confit citrus, white fruits, lemongrass and spring flowers. Moderately weighted and lively, it is built around a vibrant core of fruit animated by bright acidity, concluding with a long, mouthwatering finish.
