De color muy profundo, casi negro con reflejos morados.
Nariz
La Cabernet sauvignon domina la mezcla y adquiere una intensa variedad de aromas de frutas negras, moras y violetas, que se equilibran a la perfección con el sutil roble y la delicada nota ahumada típica del impresionante terroir de Pessac-Léognan.
Boca
Supremamente elegante y sabroso desde el principio. Los taninos finos y elegantes, concentrados y de gran finura envuelven el paladar generoso y sedoso. Este conjunto perfectamente armonioso culmina en un final largo y persistente.

Se recomienda servir a 16 ºC.

Opinión de los críticos

Decanter:

Supple and energetic this has bracing acidity but matches perfectly with the bright red fruit and chalky tannins giving a push pull of flavour and texture. Nicely controlled, still a bit tense and straight with some compaction but feels well made with lots of personality and helped retain lift by the juicy mid palate. Great mineral finish too.

The Wine Advocate:

Confirming the expectations formed at the en primeur stage, the 2023 La Garde opens with aromas of dark wild berries, mulberries, cassis and spices, accented by licorice. Medium- to full-bodied, layered and sapid, it offers good depth at the core, framed by structured, powdery tannins and concluding with a long, mineral finish. Its slightly earthy character will benefit from a few years in bottle to gain further breadth and nuance.

James Suckling:

Fresh red berries with a mineral edge and some elegant spices. Polished and precise, with medium body and fine-grained tannins. Almost a bit chalky in texture. A blend of 57% cabernet sauvignon and 43% merlot. Drink now or hold.
