Meandro 2009

"The 2009 Meandro Do Vale Meao is 35% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca, 25% Tinta Roriz and 5% each of Sousao and Tinta Barroca. Rather burly, powerful and hard edged this year, this Meandro shows a lot of everything. In keeping this open for awhile, I noted first how steely and hard it became and then finally saw some signs of it expanding and improving. This is a big Meandro – not that we haven’t seen big ones before – but it did come around pretty well with some time and effort. It is a lot of wine for this price range. Give it a couple of years to settle down. It has upside potential it is not showing at the moment, but it should be a great value . Drink 2014-2023."
Vino con mucha personalidad, interesante.
