Descripción

Coupage de Garnacha y Samsó (Cariñena), fundamentalmente, procedentes de las viñas repartidas en diferentes parcelas del municipio de Gratallops. Llamado "Vi de Vila" (Vino de Pueblo) para poner de manifiesto las características de uno de los mejores terruños del Priorat. Su buen potencial de envejecimiento en el futuro nos regalará grandeza, aunque en esta añada ofrece un placer inmediato.

Nariz
Aromas a cítricos asados, frambuesas especiadas, fresa madura, hierbas aromáticas, pimienta blanca y un toque de violetas secas.
Boca
Es muy floral, sugerente y sutil, elegante y con una fina textura en boca, aterciopelado y con taninos de grano fino. La madera está perfectamente integrada con la fruta.
Temperatura de servicio
Se recomienda servir a 16 ºC.
Consumo
Óptimo hasta 2036 aproximadamente si se conserva en buenas condiciones. Se recomienda decantar.

Varias parcelas en propiedad en el municipio de Gratallops. Ladera tradicional muy pronunciada. Orientación norte-este. Entre 300 a 400 metros de altitud sobre el nivel del mar. Brotación a partir del 22 de marzo, floración a partir del 5 de junio y envero a partir del 14 de julio.

De pizarra (llicorella) de estructura laminar, situada de forma vertical y oblicua.
Clima
Continental con influencia mediterránea. En esta añada destaca la sequía, con una pluviometría de 250 litros entre noviembre de 2022 y octubre de 2023. Durante los meses de primavera sólo descargaron 43 litros. Por esta razón, y por primera vez en la historia, tuvieron que incluir técnicas precisas de riego en zonas con baja absorción de agua.
Cosecha
Vendimia manual entre el 2 de septiembre y el 10 de octubre.
Vinificación
Fermentó en tinos de roble con levaduras autóctonas, bazuqueos y 28 días de maceración.
Envejecimiento
Maduró en foudres ovalados y bocoyes durante 14 meses.
Embotellado
En marzo de 2025.

An open, refined expression with aromas of grilled citrus, spiced raspberries, agave and a touch of rose hips. Attractive and well knit, with mineral-etched tannins and a linear, nuanced finish. A very good buy from this challengingly hot and dry year. Delicate and refined. Drink or hold

The Wine Advocate:

The village red 2023 Gratallops was produced with a blend of 80% Garnacha and 20% Cariñena from different vineyards in Gratallops, all certified organic. It fermented in oak vats with indigenous yeasts with punch-downs and 28 days of maceration, and it matured in oval foudres and bocoyes for 14 months. It's very floral, insinuating and subtle, with great elegance and a very fine thread in the palate, velvety, with fine-grained tannins, the oak neatly integrated with the fruit. It has a vibrant palate; they always keep a little bit of carbonic gas in the wines before bottling, which protects the wines and disappears in the operation. 14,000 bottles produced.
