Descripción
Celia de Bodegas Vizcarra se presenta como un vino fresco y envolvente, con un coupage en el que la variedad Tinto fino está acompañada por un pequeño toque de Garnacha, ambas procedentes de viñedos de más de 50 años. Según Luis Gutiérrez, crítico de Parker, es un tinto "serio y con gran potencial de guarda".

Ripe, intense forest fruit, fresh lavender and rosemary aromas combined with touches of liquorice, smoke and sweet spices. The elevated fruit is perfectly balanced by the oak influence and the beautiful tannins, powdery and gently rustic in a very appealing way. Full-bodied, concentrated and persistent. Still young, a bit tight on the mid-palate; will no doubt benefit from further ageing.
The 2022 Celia, which comes in a Bordeaux bottle, has a more serious and austere profile than the more voluptuous and showier Inés from this same vintage that is presented in a Burgundy bottle. It's sourced from vineyards with mostly Tempranillo but also 7% Garnacha, which seems to give it an elegant touch. It doesn't lack ripeness, coming in at 15% alcohol, but feels balanced, and the oak is neatly integrated—it spent 16 months in 400-liter barrels and a further three months in 2,000-liter foudre. This is serious and with aging potential. 2,000 bottles and 60 magnums produced. It was bottled in June 2024.
Named after Juan Carlos Vizcarra's daughter, who is also involved in the winemaking, this is a full-bodied cuvée of Tempranillo and Garnacha with plenty of almost entirely new French and American oak. Firm, dense and compact, it’s a wine to tuck away for a few years to allow it to evolve and soften. Blackberry, damson mocha and coconut flavours are supported by sturdy tannins and refreshing minerality. 2028-35.
