Descripción

Artadi Quintanilla nace de un viñedo asentado sobre un antiguo poblado medieval. Se pueden observar todavía ciertos vestigios de los elementos patrimoniales más significativos del desaparecido pueblo de San Lorenzo de Quintanilla que han pervivido en el subsuelo de este lugar desde hace más de medio milenio. Es un vino procedente de una añada capaz de darnos tintos elegantes, fluidos, con una fruta madura, envolvente y fresca.

Limpia, vibrante, expresiva y elegante.
Boca
Presenta taninos maduros entrelazado. Tiene un gran desarrollo estructural y se presenta redonda, gustosa y potente. Final persistente y largo.

Franco-arcilloso, calcáreo y de profundidad media.
Clima
El ciclo vegetativo de la añada 2023 comenzó con un invierno seco, que dio paso a una primavera con importantes variaciones térmicas y escasas precipitaciones. El desarrollo vegetativo se llevó a cabo en perfectas condiciones, ya que las temperaturas fueron propicias en los momentos clave como la brotación y la floración. Tras un verano muy cálido con temperaturas medias superiores a 30 ºC, llegaron las lluvias a comienzos de septiembre, cruciales para mitigar la sequía en el viñedo. La vendimia transcurrió sin mayores contratiempos y terminó a mediados de septiembre.

The Wine Advocate:

There is more finesse in the 2023 Quintanilla and not only in the mouthfeel, which is general in the vintage, but also in the color, a brighter ruby, and the aromas, which in 2023 tend toward ripeness and darker fruit. But the vines here possibly show the effect of the earlier harvest more, as they avoid the stress that they usually go through because of the shallow soils, with the roots very much in the limestone. There should be some 4,000 bottles of this, from a 3,000-liter stainless steel tank where it's waiting to be bottled in May/June 2025. (Luis Guitérrez)

Fine wood spices adorn the deep, rich fruit, with a touch of minerals and flowers. Full-bodied and tightly knit with caressing tannins and a lengthy finish. Excellent harmony. One of the best wines from Artadi in 2023. From organically grown grapes. Already approachable but better from 2026.
