Opinión de los críticos
There is a little more ripeness and darker fruit in the 2022 Vinha da Serra, a red produced with the grapes from a small centenary vineyard planted with mixed varieties, approximately 60% Tinta Amarela, 20% Jaen, 9% Baga, 8% Tinta Pinheira and other old local varieties planted at 600 meters above sea level. Those conditions seem to have cushioned the effect of the year, and the wine comes through as elegant and balanced, with perfume and finesse, contained ripeness and alcohol (12.3%). It's vibrant and fine-boned, really elegant, and the quality of the tannins is surprising. He was very careful with the vinification, controlling extraction and doing an infusion of the grapes. It matured in 600-liter barrels for 18 months. Only 730 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2024.
Brooding, with a ferrous, bloody character. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with dark fruit, elderberries and dried flowers. Tannins are focused yet dissolved, elegant and well defined. From a 0.1 hectare vineyard on the granite hillsides of Serra de Estrela, dominated by 60% tinta amarela. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now.
