James Suckling:

A blend of pinot noir with 10-15% pinot gris, co-planted ten years ago, in amongst 45-year-old vines. The nose is very floral with papaya and pink grapefruit, some praline and fresh, rose-like florals. The palate has the same hit of fragrant roses with plenty of peaches and a silky, smoothly textural palate. The entire parcel is macerated for between three and four days, for texture more than color. Very unique. Drink now.

The Wine Advocate:

Revisiting Larmandier’s NV Extra-Brut Rosé de Saignée, derived entirely from the 2020 vintage and disgorged in February 2023 with two grams per liter of dosage, this is one of the sunnier, more saturated renditions of the cuvée, informed by a three-day maceration. Vinified largely in tank, with roughly one-quarter in large wooden vats, it offers up aromas of cranberry and redcurrant, mingled with spices and ripe plum. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, deep and muscular, with a charming core of fruit and a phenolic grip that frames the finish. The blend comprises 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Gris.
