La parcela San Lázaro, ubicada en Laguardia, define vinos delicados, de estructuras esbeltas y de gran sutileza. Podríamos decir que son vinos marcados por equilibrios de fragilidad persistente, que dejan un recuerdo imborrable.

El ciclo vegetativo de la añada 2023 comenzó con un invierno seco, que dio paso a una primavera con importantes variaciones térmicas y escasas precipitaciones. El desarrollo vegetativo se llevó a cabo en perfectas condiciones, ya que las temperaturas fueron propicias en los momentos clave como la brotación y la floración. Tras un verano muy cálido con temperaturas medias superiores a 30 ºC, llegaron las lluvias a comienzos de septiembre, cruciales para mitigar la sequía en el viñedo. La vendimia transcurrió sin mayores contratiempos y terminó a mediados de septiembre.

The Wine Advocate:

The unbottled 2023 San Lázaro shows a nose of ripe berry fruit—black rather than red—with an earthy touch and a little darker in all senses than the bottled 2022 I tasted next to it. There is a faint earthiness and perhaps iron, meat or blood-like touch here. It has 14.4% alcohol and a fine-boned palate with fine-grained tannins, subdued chalky minerality, the Laguardia elegance and this plot's length. Since 2022, all of the plots include the white grapes that are planted in the vineyard together with the Tempranillo. They expect to fill some 4,000 bottles around May or June 2025. James Suckling:

Very good depth here, showing graphite and flint to the rich plummy fruit and plenty of ripe cherries. Full-bodied and structured with tightly wound tannins and a long, fleshy but vertical finish. Generous and precisely constructed. Drink from 2027. Around 4,000 bottles.
