Descripción

Esta es una de las referencia con mejor relación calidad-precio de Burdeos. Se trata de un coupage de las uvas clásicas bordelesas que regala un perfil expresivo, armonioso y con un amplio abanico aromático. Esta es la primera añada desde que la familia Casteja compró el château en junio de 2022.

Intensa y aromática. Regala notas de fruta negra, de flores y notas herbáceas.

Opinión de los críticos

James Suckling:

A chewy and dense Peyrabon with rich, dark cassis, blackberries and a hint of dark chocolate on the nose. Quite powerful on the palate, packed with extracted tannins before a lengthy finish. Try from 2028.

Decanter:

A dark nose, rich and ripely scented with dark fruits, blackcurrants, damsons and herbal accents. Lean and taught, a nice structure, clean and well presented, sleek but nicely textured with grippy, stoney tannins that coat the mouth. Structured and intense but also linear and streamlined with mouthwatering acidity offsetting the density and giving an appealing push of energy. Nice balance of quality and value. First vintage since the Casteja family bought the estate in June 2022. Harvest 16 September-4 October. Yield of 19.9hl/ha. Ageing in French oak for 14 months, 30% new. 3% Petit Verdot completes the blend. Tasted twice.

Falstaff:

Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, brightening on the rim. Ripe berry fruit, ripe cherries, plums, floral nuances, a touch of orange zest. Juicy, medium-bodied, subtle fruit expression, pleasant acidity, nougat on the finish, mineral in the aftertaste. Offers uncomplicated drinking pleasure.
