Descripción

A finales del siglo XII se hizo mención por primera vez al viñedo del que procede la Riesling con el que está elaborado este blanco, conociéndose como "mons Rhingravii" (la montaña de los condados del Rin). Estamos ante el mejor blanco seco que la finca puede ofrecer, perteneciente a la categoría "Große Gewächse", equivalente alemán de Grand Cru. Es un vino muy mineral que encarna las cualidades del terroir.

Nariz
Nariz compleja, con mucha mineralidad y aromas frutales llamativos.
Boca
Un vino con estructura compleja, muy mineral. Encarna las cualidades excepcionales del terroir. Muy elegante y equilibrado. Algo dulce pero redondo y con un cierto punto salino.
Temperatura de servicio
Entre 7 y 10 ºC.
Consumo
En condiciones óptimas puede conservarse en perfecto estado durante unos 15 a 20 años más.

I love the bouquet of stone fruits, Amalfi lemon, bergamot and licorice. The richness and concentration easily fill out an ample body that’s rare in the 2021 vintage. However, this dry riesling masterpiece remains precise and cool. Glides off into the distance at the long, silky finish. Drink or hold.

The 2021 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Trocken GG offers a clear and coolish, precise and refined bouquet of ripe but fresh and elegant Riesling fruit intertwined with lime zest aromas and flinty notes. On the palate, this is a rich, vital and elegant, very complex and mineral, dense and powerful Riesling with enormous grip and tension and a long, saline finish. This is a powerful and extract-rich wine with huge aging potential. Clearly the top wine this year. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in July 2022.

Wine Enthusiast:

This white offers an enticing and beautifully balanced mix of nectarine, quince, elderflower and wild hops, backed by a vivid structure. The acidity is electric, fueling the elements and providing a great environment for long-term aging. It lingers with a persistent finish that is filled with mineral and spice that invite you for another sip. Delicious now, but best to save at least for five years.

Falstaff:

Complex on the nose, chamomile, red apple, grape, wet stone, lemon balm. Dense extract on the palate, well-integrated acid structure, mellow, pleasant phenolics, juicy, mineral savouriness, salty, animating to drink, elegant, long on the palate. Has certain ageing potential.
