Descripción

Château Lilian Ladouys es una de esas bodegas que no hay que perder de vista dentro de Saint-Estèphe. La Cabernet sauvignon domina esta añada el coupage, mientras que la Merlot mantiene su proporción respecto a otras exitosas cosechas como la 2009 y 2010. El resultado en las primeras catas ya revela un vino gourmet, voluptuoso y a la vez sutil, "por y para epicúreos", como señalan desde la casa.  

La entrega de este vino está prevista en el segundo semestre de 2024.

Nariz
Rica, encantadora y cautivadora con elegantes notas de fruta fresca y aromas especiados de incienso y cacao amargo.
Boca
Tinto amplio y aterciopelado, bien ligado, fino y estructurado, gracias a la Cabernet sauvignon.
Temperatura de servicio
Entre 14 y 16 ºC.
Consumo
Hasta 2040, aproximadamente, si se conserva en óptimas condiciones.

Continental con influencia mediterránea.
Cosecha
Vendimia manual del 28 de septiembre al 8 de octubre de 2021, seguida de selección manual en racimos y luego de bayas.
Vinificación
Encubado por gravedad y ligero prensado. Maceración prefermentativa en frío. Extracción suave con 'délestage' por gravedad.
Envejecimiento
En barricas de roble (el 40% nuevas).

Jeb Dunnuck:

A perennial overachiever, the 2021 Château Lilian Ladouys is no exception and certainly does well in the vintage. Based on 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and the rest Cabernet Franc, it has a perfumed bouquet of cassis and black raspberry fruit as well as some background spicy oak. Medium-bodied and balance, with fine tannins, it should easily be an outstanding wine as well as a good value.

James Suckling:

 A creamy and velvety red with redcurrants and spices. Some tobacco, too. Medium and juicy. 53% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot, 6% petit verdot and 1% cabernet franc.

Decanter:

Milky chocolate blackcurrant notes on the nose. This is beguiling and sweet, very appealing with a succulent and ample palate, fresh and lively, silky and smooth. Gentle and charming with bite and a deep soul. The tannins are still there - austere with this clear bitter dark chocolate note but the fruit is much riper so you get this round, medium mouthfeel, it's expansive and so charming. More noble tannins, sweet and super approachable with perfumed cherries, raspberries, strawberries and red plums. Then the liquorice and bitterness coming through at the end. Nice elements here. It's more approachable than the second wine at this point, lively but still with tension and focus. Lots to like here. 80% grand vin. Drinking Window 2024 - 2040.
