Descripción

El nombre de este blanco rinde homenaje a las riberas de los dos ríos que rodean los viñedos: el Bibei y el Xares. Así, en un enclave privilegiado, nace la Godello con la que se elabora este vino que resulta muy fresco y complejo a la par. Notas de frutas, flores y minerales en nariz, con un paso por boca persistente y untuoso.

Nariz
Se aprecian aromas de flores blancas, manzana e hinojo.
Boca
Destaca su mineralidad y su longitud. Persistente y untuoso, con final salino.
Temperatura de servicio
Se recomienda servir entre 9 y 12 ºC.
Maridaje
Potajes, pescados, mariscos y arroces marineros. También con comida asiática.

Viñedo situado a 500 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Exposiciones sur, sureste y oeste.

35 años.
Suelo
Diferentes composiciones, destacando pizarra, gneis y xabre.
Cosecha
Vendimia manual en cajas de 15 kilogramos realizada entre el 8 y 11 de septiembre.
Vinificación
Las uvas se prensan el mismo día de la vendimia. Maceración en frío de entre 24 y 48 horas, con prensado posterior y desfangado estático natural. Fermentación con levaduras espontáneas y temperatura controlada en fudres y barricas de roble francés.
Envejecimiento
Crianza sobre lías finas durante 12 meses en estático.

From two vineyards in Chandoiro y Larouco, among the highest in the region that are grown on slopes above the rivers Bibei and Xares, this is fermented in stainless steel but finished in 2,000L foudres where it ages for 12 months. The wine has a subtle smokey note from a delicate use of oak that gently supports the wine. Soils are a mix of slate, clay and granite which result in a complex palate that is at once profound and marked by stony energy. It is a complete wine, mouthfilling but driven with direct acidity, and it promises more to come with time in bottle. 2025-29

The 2023 As 2 Ladeiras shows the cooler year after the torrid 2022, with contained ripeness and 12.5% alcohol. It's a selection from grapes from the banks of the Bibei and Xares Rivers (hence the name, the "two river banks" in the Galician language) on slate and gneiss soils, going back to the character of 2021, subtle and harmonious, vibrant and light, with elegance and superb balance. It's young but already shows complexity and nuance and the completeness of the vintage. 7,530 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2025 after 11 months in oak foudre and six months in stainless steel.
