Opinión de los críticos
"A wine for people who don’t like classic Rioja" is how Juan Bautista describes this cement- aged blend of Garnacha and 35% Tempranillo from the Alto Najerilla and Samaniego respectively. Sappy, ferrous and intense, it's an oak-free zone, with succulent bramble and blackcurrant fruit, plenty of acidity and concentration and a chalky finish. 2026-32
The young red 2023 El Predilecto was produced with a blend of 65% Garnacha and 35% Tempranillo and wants to express the fruit character of the grapes without the aid of any wood. The grapes fermented separately with indigenous yeasts, and it matured with the lees in concrete for six to eight months. It's juicy, primary and fruit-driven, with some floral and herbal notes but not lacking ripeness. It has 14.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.64, a tender texture and very fine tannins. This is approachable and easy to understand. 32,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2024.
Cranberries, graphite and blackberries, with a subtle dried floral undertone. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, fleshy yet structured, framed by firm, fine-grained tannins. There’s a chiseled dark-fruit profile that brings precision and tension. Needs a couple of years to soften. Better after 2026.

Típico rioja afrutado, con predominio de frutos maduros. Redondo en boca. Buen paso a garganta con retrogusto más que interesante. Buena RCP
