Descripción

Primer vino de Château Montlandrie, una propiedad de origen italiano ubicada en una bella localización que le permite dominar la ciudad de Castillon, en las estribaciones de las colinas de Saint-Émilion. Las primeras muestras de barrica auguran el gran potencial de una añada excepcional. Suave, de trago fácil, refinado, con clase y elegante, según apunta Decanter.

Vendimia manual del 8 al 23 de septiembre.

James Suckling:

A linear and racy young Cotes de Bordeaux with blueberry, mineral and crushed-stone character. Violets as well. Medium-bodied, refined yet structured. Plenty of energy here. Persistent finish. 75% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon. Drink after 2028.

Decanter:

A perfumed nose filled with blackcurrants, cherries, violets and soft vanilla and milk chocolate accents. Bright and alive, this focuses on the intensity of crystalline strawberries and red cherries with lots of mineral, salty-edged tannins. This has an iron tang and such overall brightness. Acidity is super high and just lifts the expression giving tension and focus and so much life. Classy and sophisticated. A total crowd pleaser.

Based on 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2022 Château Montlandrie has lots of ripe red and black fruits supported by notions of loamy soil, savory spices, and leafy herbs. It's concentrated, medium to full-bodied, has building yet beautiful tannins, and a great finish.

Notes of sweet cherries, berries, licorice and smoke preface the 2022 Montlandrie, a medium to full-bodied, suave and vibrant wine with a deep core of fruit, lively acids, powdery tannins and a saline finish. This vibrant, intensely flavored Côtes de Castillon is once again one of Bordeaux's best values in this vintage.
