The Wine Advocate:

The third vintage of their white, the 2023 Aurora was produced with the grapes from three plots on very white soils with a sandy texture and covered by big boulders, two of them planted with Macabeo and one with Marisancho (Pardillo) grapes, and the blend comes to approximately equal parts of each grape. It had a mixed aging in 1,900-liter concrete egg, 2,500-liter oak foudre and 5,200-liter concrete vat. It has a moderate 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 2.9 and notable acidity, 6.6 grams. The wine is more serious with Macabeo and is not exuberant—it's shy but elegant. They achieved very good freshness and acidity in 2023, and it's very clean and precise, with enough volume (they don't block malolactic anymore, but it didn't go through because of the very low pH) and more reductive than oxidative. It's tasty and long, with a salty and bitter twist in the finish and a chalky texture. Every year, the wine has been different, but this is the line they are going to follow, at least in 2024. 12,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024. (Luis Gutiérrez)

Decanter:

Smoky and zesty, with lime, pineapple and stone-fruit depth. Sourced from old, biodynamically farmed vines and fermented in old oak and amphora, it’s mouth-filling yet racy, with fine minerality and long, refined length. (Victoria Daskal)
