Opinión de los críticos
This wine shows aromas of ripe fruit, dark cherries and some grilled herbs. Good-quality tannins. Firm, fine-grained and tight, with a medium to full body and a long, tightly wound finish. A structured Ribera del Duero that’s not overdone. Drink from 2026.
Tasted along with the 2021, the 2022 Corimbo was produced with Tinto Fino from vines between 25 and 30 years of age, from small plots in La Horra, Roa and other villages around them but from a much warmer and drier year. It fermented in stainless steel vats and matured for 14 months in oak barrels, 80% French and 20% American. It has notes of ripe berry fruit, aromatic herbs and a spicy twist. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.66 and 5.3 grams of acidity and has abundant, slightly dusty tannins. 50,902 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2024.
"I'm very happy with 2022," says Miriam Marchena, and so she should be, given the way she dealt with the challenges of the vintage. Avoiding the weight and extraction of some of her competitors' wines, this pure Tempranillo from five parcels in La Horra and Roa has aromas of vanilla and wild thyme, a spine of tannins, plum and blackberry fruit intensity and enough freshness to lift and lengthen the finish. 2026-33
