Made from 100% Garnacha, the light pink-colored NV Conde de Haro Brut Rosé gives up terrific notes of cherries, orange blossom, tangerine, and spice. With medium body, a beautiful sense of minerality, notable balance, and a great finish, it's another terrific wine from this producer.
The sparkling rosé does not carry the vintage on the label, even if what I tasted was from 2015, but instead is sold as NV Conde de Haro Brut Rosé. This is now 100% Garnacha, produced in a style similar to the new rosé Flor de Muga. It also aged in bottle with the lees for some 22 months before it was disgorged. The nose is quite straightforward, a little closed, but the palate is more expressive, with sharp acidity, completely dry, very fresh and tasty. It feels like a good improvement over previous bottlings I have tasted. It's always a challenge to give drinking windows for non-vintage wines because you cannot know the age of the bottle you are getting, but in any case, it's a Cava, so I'll give it 2 or 3 years. 12,000 bottles produced.
