The 2018 La Pequeñita Tinto Macerado was produced with Tempranillo grapes from small plots (pequeñita means small, and it refers to the size of the plots of vines spread across their vineyard), with minimal intervention. It fermented slowly in two well-seasoned, neutral oak barrels and then aged in a 600-liter oak barrel, where it matured with the lees for six months. It has an attractive nose of wild berries, flowers and herbs, with medium ripeness and 14% alcohol but with notes of acid berries on the palate that give it a lot of freshness. It's wild and characterful, an improvement over previous vintages. Only 798 bottles were filled in August 2019.
