The 2019 Pago de Valdoneje is the benchmark for unoaked Mencía from the slopes of Valtuille, and more often than not, this is the go-to red for most local vignerons when asking for a glass of wine in a bar. It's a juicy, aromatic and very pleasant and easy-to-drink young wine with enough complexity and depth to also deal with a wide range of foods, which makes it very versatile. It's lively and smooth, balanced and polished with good freshness and a balanced mouthfeel. It's not only a price champion, it's a very good wine! 70,000 bottles produced.
