Jesús Yllera 2015

The 2015 Jesús Yllera Crianza, which I tasted to compare with the bottled 2016, is from before they started working with Jean-Claude Berrouet, as he only helped with the final blend of 75% Tempranillo, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot. This comes from a warm and ripe year, very different from 2016, and also the vinification and élevage were according to Yllera's protocol. It has some rusticity and dusty tannins and the oak is still there. This is the beginning of the change... 76,126 bottles and 1,528 magnums produced.. - Luis Gutiérrez.
