Cucú Cantaba la Rana 2018

Putting my nose inside the glass of the 2018 Cucú transported me to the Verdejo from yesteryear; it's clean, expressive and characterful, with notes of hay and straw, quince and yellow plums and that characteristic bitter twist in the finish. The ambition here is to produce a young and approachable wine that showcases the variety, and I'd say those targets are clearly achieved in this 2018—a generous year that delivered an expressive, fresh and lively Cucú that I found better than ever. 50,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2019.
