The Wine Advocate:

There is an extra degree of complexity and freshness in the 2017 Finca O Figueiral Colleita Seleccionada, produced with the grapes from their oldest vineyard on the property, planted in 1978. This matured in 500- and 600-liter oak barrels that must have been quite neutral, as they didn't interfere with the aromatics of the local grapes (70% Treixadura and 5% each Godello and Albariño, with the rest a myriad of varieties), and the wine always has very good acidity, which helps to integrate the oak. There is yellow fruit, balsam, spices, herbs and reminiscences of wet stones. The palate is compact and the flavors focused, pure and long. Great Ribeiro! 3,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2018.

Decanter:

Top wine. An amazing expression of complexity and a refinement of what Ribeiro can – and must – be. Not particularly intense on the nose: grassy and zesty, with a hint of green spice. Spectacular mouthfeel, amazingly balanced, with a baroque expression, showing different nuances after every sip, keeping a joyful, very fresh style despite the complexity. The finish shows that the wine has been carefully aged on its lees, and it promises nice development in bottle. I took the sample home, and tasted it over the next three days to check ageability, with good results. But nothing surpasses drinking a glass of it right now.
