James Suckling:

A bold, classically styled Rioja with spicy oak and sweet, ripe fruit and a sturdy, slightly blocky palate. Assertive and rich. Drink or hold.

Controversial when it was first released because of the inclusion of 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, this Tempranillo-based blend is modern, deeply coloured and intensely oaked in 100% new French wood. Made to age urther in bottle, it  has cassis and cedarwood flavours, fresh acidity and impressive structure. 2021-28.
