Solar Amézola Gran Reserva 2010

The 2010 Solar Amézola Gran Reserva, a bright ruby colored, traditional oak-aged blend of Tempranillo with 10% Mazuelo and 5% Graciano (the house blend), is full of tertiary aromas of brick dust, paprika, smoke, leather and cherries in liqueur, turning more and more balsamic as the wine sits in the glass. The palate is round and polished with fine-grained tannins and good acidity. It is ready now but should last for another decade. Only 2,000 bottles were filled in March 2013.
