Oak spice, wet leave and pear aromatics. Great texture on the palate; fresh and zippy too with a long and citrusy finish.
The talented Katia Álvarez likes to use grapes with more sun exposure to make this rich, intense, lees-aged Albariño from the Salnés Valley. Partial bâtonnage adds extra texture to the palate here, balancing the raciness of the acidity. Dry, creamy and very mineral with plenty of underlying structure and a citrus, lime and wet stone finish. 2023-27
Die berühmte galicische Bodega Martín Códax wurde 1985 in Cambados, der Hauptstadt des Albariño-Weins, gegründet. Die Bodega widmet unter der Leitung von Önologin Katia Álvarez etwa 80% ihrer Produktion der Rebsorte Albariño und produziert einige der besten Weine der Region. Zudem wurde das Weingut Martín Códax für sein außergewöhnliches önotouristisches Angebot, die stets gleichbleibende Qualität der Weine und das Engagement für Nachhaltigkeit im Anbau und der Weinherstellung ausgezeichnet.
