Malpaso 2010

"The 2008 Malpaso is pure Syrah aged in 20% new and 80% old French oak, 30% without de-stemming. It has a lovely, intriguing bouquet of blackberry, fresh rose petals and minerals that is both sophisticated and appealing. The palate is well-balanced with succulent ripe blackberry and briary on the entry. There is a core of sweetness here, but it is counterbalanced by the crisp acidity and the stem addition lending it leafiness towards the controlled, refined, but flavor-packed finish. This is another superb wine from this producer. Drink now-2016."
