From mica schist soils, Loimer's 2018 Grüner Veltliner Ried Loiserberg displays a darker-toned golden-yellow color with flinty aromas of stewed yellow fruits. Crystalline and elegant on the palate, with herbal notes, good intensity and ripe acidity, this is a delicate and balanced Veltliner with remarkable finesse on the salty and vital finish. Tasted at Schloss Grafenegg in September 2019.
