The Wine Advocate:

Especially successful this year is the 2018 Beaujolais-Villages Jean Baptiste Bererd, a complete and incipiently complex wine that wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, raspberries, candied peel and subtle spices. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with a rich but lively core of fruit, fine-grained tannins and a mouthwatering, saline finish. The 2018 appears to be more immediate and accessible than its 2017 counterpart.
