Cantos de Valpiedra 2011

"I only tasted one wine from Finca Valpiedra (which shares ownership with Vina Bujanda), as the rest of the wines they submitted had already been tasted and rated before. The 2010 Cantos de Valpiedra is the second wine from the winery, a Crianza produced with 100% Tempranillo aged in barrique for a year which delivers a fragrant nose of flowers and ripe fruit, blueberries and red currants, with a spicy and smoky touch. The palate reveals a medium-bodied wine, easy to drink with plenty of acidity and good length. A clean, modern, well-crafted Rioja. Drink 2014-2017".
