Descripción
El Reserva de Peciña procede de viñedos situados en San Vicente de la Sonsierra y es elaborado solo en añadas propicias. Como curiosidad, realiza su crianza en barricas con una edad media de 4-5 años para que la madera no esté presente más de la cuenta en el conjunto final. Un vino elegante, con cuerpo, sabroso y con aromas de cuero, tabaco y ciruela pasa.

There aren’t many traditional bodegas in Rioja - or anywhere else for that matter - that can compete with Hermanos Peciña in terms of value for money. This is an appealingly scented, forest floor and tobacco leaf-like cuvée of Tempranillo with 3% Garnacha and 2% Graciano. Sweet and savoury with the classic dried coconut flavours of American oak. 2024-30
I love the textbook nose of the 2016 Señorío de P. Peciña Reserva, as it is earthy, spicy and developed, with notes of leather and vanilla and a touch of smoke and brick dust. It has ripe fruit without excess and a medium-bodied palate with great balance and freshness. It has pungent flavors and is powerful and ripe without excess at 14.5% alcohol and with polished chalky tannins. This matured in American oak barrels for 36 months, during which time it was racked every six months. 42,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2020.
