Descripción

Desde esta añada 2022, el château, antes Tronquoy-Lalande, pasa ha denominarse sólo Tronquoy y su grand vin estrena además nueva etiqueta dominada por el color azul. Eso sí, pese a los cambios se mantiene fiel a su identidad y continúa siendo un tinto versátil, con gran frescura y un notable potencial de envejecimiento. En suma, toda una garantía de placer con el sello de uno de los crus más antiguos de Saint-Estèphe.

La entrega de este vino está prevista en el segundo trimestre de 2025.

Muestra una notable concentración y complejidad con la fruta muy presente. Tinto particularmente armonioso y de final muy largo. Aseguran desde la bodega que esta añada sigue la tradición de los vinos más exitosos de las últimas décadas, como las cosechas de 2010 y 2016.

Jeb Dunnuck:

Lots of plums, blue and black fruits, earth, chocolate, and hints of earth all emerge from the 2022 Château Tronquoy-Lalande, a full-bodied, pure, powerful Saint-Estèphe with impressive tannins and a great finish. It shows more floral and red-fruited nuances with time in the glass, and this is clearly a beautiful wine in the making. It shows the ripeness of the vintage while staying pure, balanced, and seamless.

Bettane & Desseauve:

Grande robe, magnifique texture satinée, donnée par des merlots enrobant parfaitement un cabernet-sauvignon présent dans l’assemblage. Un coup de cœur parmi les vins de l’appellation, digne d’un excellent cru classé.

Decanter:

Dark and subtly fragrant, ripe blackcurrant and black cherries and black plums. Crisp with serious bite but such succulent and juicy fruit flavours that you get an immediate push-pull of intensity, power, tension and softness. The wine turns serious quickly with a core of bramble fruits, dark chocolate, liquorice and slate intensely lingering on the mid palate, with some soft caramel and toast elements around the edges. Lovely frame and direction, keeps the streamlined nature offset by mouthwatering acidity. Lots of power but comes across in a refined way. Feels well worked, maybe not giving the instant joy but compact, precise and driven. Great quality and ageing potential. Harvest 7-23 September. 3.8pH. 89 IPT. A yield of 35hl/ha. Tasted twice.
