Poggio Valente 2017
Este vino tiene sus orígenes en el año 1996, cuando Elisabetta, propietaria de Fattoria le Pupille, decidió comprar un viñedo llamado "Poggio Valente" cerca de Pereta. El proyecto se basa una vez más en la variedad Sangiovese, que es la protagonista absoluta de esta añada 2017. Un gran vino multirreconocido por los mejores críticos y por el público.

This is a pure expression of Sangiovese that punches above its weight with an almost Brunello-like intensity. The color and the tannic weight here is more prominent than in most Sangioveses, however, that unique coastal Tuscany character is always there with rosemary and Mediterranean shrub. Dark and fully concentrated, the 2017 Poggio Valente offers chalky notes followed by blackberry and black cherry. I love the harmony and the seamless nature of the bouquet. There is a note of sweetness on the close. This is a terrific, medium to full bodied Sangiovese. -Monica Larner.
