Piélago 2020
Description

A village wine, pure Garnacha from 2 ha of old vines grown on very poor soils. Mediterranean in style, it offers beautiful strawberry aromas that lead to a fleshy and broad palate, kept in check by a metallic, granitic grip. It has filled out with some time in bottle, developing pronounced spicy, black pepper notes. Its freshness and muscular structure suggest further aging to come. 2024 - 2030
Medium crimson, purple reflections, broad ochre brightening on the rim. An inviting and fruity nose with subtle strawberry confit, hints of candied orange zest and cherry compote. Powerful, sturdy and mineral, vivid but well integrated tannins, subtle fruit expression on the long, hearty finish. Showing good development with definite further ageing potential.
