Fattoria le Pupille Rosamati 2022

Rosamati is a lightly oaked 100% Syrah rosé that's usually made from a single vineyard, but the summer drought in 2022 (there was no rain here for three months) led the team to incorporate fruit that would otherwise have been destined for Le Pupille Syrah, picked slightly earlier to reduce potential alcohol levels. Vinified in stainless steel, it's then matured for around three months before bottling, with 20% of the wine going into tonneaux. Salty, herbal and textured, it showcases ripe yet fresh red and black cherry and creamy black fruits, with impressive lightness and a juicy, saline finish.
