Vigna e preparazione

Descrizione
Si trova a pochi passi dal piccolo borgo medievale di Riparbella, sul versante occidentale di una collina affacciata sul mare, immerso nella vegetazione mediterranea che protegge naturalmente il vigneto. Coltivato secondo le regole biodinamiche.
Suolo
Il terreno è di ghiaia e argilla, che dà il nome alla cantina.
Raccolto
La vendemmia a mano è iniziata il 5 agosto con la raccolta del Merlot e si è conclusa il 21 settembre con il Petit Verdot.
Vinificazione
I diversi appezzamenti e le diverse varietà sono stati vinificati separatamente in vasche di cemento e legno, con fermentazioni spontanee lente ed estrazioni delicate.
Invecchiamento
Dopo la fermentazione malolattica, i vini scelti sono stati messi in botte e poi il vino ha fatto un invecchiamento di 14 mesi in barrique con il 30% di rovere nuovo. Dopo l'invecchiamento, il vino riposa in vasche di cemento per due mesi prima di essere imbottigliato e poi un altro anno in bottiglia.

Dark ruby red colour with fine purple reflections. On the nose initially offers fine savouriness, cheese rind, cassis, blackberry, some mint, as well as fine earthy notes and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate reveals creamy notion and course, dense and finely meshed, shows juicy tannins, spans widely, comes back again and again juicy and punchy, long.

This is fresh and crunchy with notes of red and dark berries, as well as spices and citrus peel. Medium- to full-bodied. It is polished and velvety with toned acidity and a polished finish. 32% cabernet franc, 24% merlot, 19% cabernet sauvignon, 18% syrah and 7% grenache. Made from biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Try from 2026, but already beautiful.
