La Escribana Vino de Pasto Macharnudo 2022

The 2022 La Escribana is a white wine from the plot in Macharnudo that gives the wine its name, a more drinkable style of wine. In the warmest vintage of their history, the grapes were picked in August and fermented at low temperature in stainless steel and matured in bota with a thin layer of flor for 12 months. It has 13.5% alcohol and 5.63 grams of acidity. 2022 was a warmer and riper year, and it's wider and more expansive, powerful and with more Fino reminiscences than the 2023; it's one year older and that character shows up with time, and the year is also more in that direction. They do mulching where they want to give more vigor to the vines, but that was not the case here; they left the plants with cover crops to have less vigor and more concentration. 11,700 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2023.
