Without resorting to lazy comparisons, it is hard to ignore the fine Burgundian structure of this wine: it is elegant and finessed, with a tiny bit of struck match reduction, and definitely ageable. But it is quintessentially Ribeiro in personality...a wonderful combination! It comes from a 1ha parcel in Gomariz planted in 1926 and is made up of mostly Albariño (45%), Treixadura (45%) and Caiño Blanco. Intense salinity has stamped its mark with bright minty notes and freshly cut grass, framed by well-integrated, fine grained oak. An impressive and characterful wine.
