Description
La Grenache blanc est un cépage peu connu qui offre un profil très intéressant dans cette région d'Aragon. Nous sommes à Almonacid de la Sierra, à quelques kilomètres de Cariñena, avec l'un des vins de Libre y Salvaje, un projet créé en 2018 dans le but de récupérer les traditions viticoles (et centenaires) de l'endroit.

An elegant and subtle Garnacha Blanca from Almonacid de la Sierra grown on limestone soil. Fermented in 500L barrels, tinaja and stainless steel, this is a textural wine with underlying minerality and salinity. Lots of typical varietal aromas of green apple, floral notes and white pepper on the nose while the palate offers great tension. Very fine and direct. 2024 - 2026
The 2022 Garnacha Blanca comes from 35-year-old vines planted in stony, limestone and sandy soils and was harvested at the end of August. It fermented and matured in untoasted barrels, clay tinajas and stainless steel to keep some austerity in the wine. It's young, clean, fruit-driven and varietal with notes of waxy apples and a balanced medium-bodied palate with 13.25% alcohol and good freshness. 4,800 bottles produced. It was bottled in October 2023.
La récupération est l'essence même de Libre y Salvaje : sauver des cépages indigènes, donner une seconde chance à des vignobles abandonnés, revenir à d'anciennes méthodes de travail dans le vignoble et la cave.
