I also tasted the 2018 La Novena Rufete Blanco, which had been bottled in the spring of 2019, and the wine felt very different from the 2017 I tasted next to it. This has a paler color and a much more reticent and subtle nose; there is more complexity, elegance and overall balance, and the palate felt fresher. It has character and shows very promising, with a varietal character. It should develop nicely in bottle.
