L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The 1/24 bottling of the NV Oloroso VORS from Tradición is nothing short of spectacular. It has a somewhat hazy orange color and an explosive nose of peach in liqueur, nuts, noble woods and tobacco leaves. It's full-bodied, rich and intense with some caramel notes and a long and warm finish but with terrific balance, elegance and detail. It's believed to have an average age of around 35 years, with 21.5% alcohol, 9.12 grams of acidity and 6.3 grams of sugar (but coming through as bone dry) from sheer concentration. They filled 1,600 bottles in May 2024.

Decanter:

Bodegas Tradición’s specialism is very fine, oxidative wines. This Oloroso is textbook, showing a note of volatility on the nose to add pungency, and a mouthwatering freshness on the palate. It's the perfect wine to pair with a strong and salty sheep’s milk blue cheese.
