The younger vine cuvée from this estate is the 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Clos Du Calvaire, which is mostly Grenache with 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, and 5% Cinsault and Counoise. It has juicy red and black fruits as well as some pretty rose and herbal nuances. These carry to a medium-bodied, round, undeniably delicious, charming 2020 that’s perfect for enjoying any time over the coming 7-8 years or so.
