The Wine Advocate:

The 2022 O Estranxeiro fermented in concrete and oak vats. They gave up the stainless steel, where they feel Mencía gets more reductive, and this matured in oak and concrete for seven months. It has notes of wild berries, herbs and flowers, with a spicy twist. It has 13% alcohol, a juicy texture, round tannins and moderate acidity. They keep buying and renting vineyards and advancing slowly in the project. 13,400 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2024.

This shows pomegranates, wild strawberries and red fruit with a touch of Mediterranean herbs. Medium- to full-bodied with lovely tension and freshness. Drink now.
