Olivier Merlin rates his 2015 Moulin a Vent above his 2005 or 2009, although the crops were very low. It is whole-cluster style, Olivier preferring traditional Beaujolais winemaking. It has a very refined bouquet with black cherries, wild strawberry and subtle violet scents—just beautiful. The palate is surfeit with black cherries, white pepper and a slight flintiness on the structured finish. What a sublime Moulin à Vent from magic Merlin. - Neal Martin.
