The powerful 2018 Nicolás is a single-vineyard Albariño that is not bottled every year; it's reserved for exceptional vintages. It feels a little riper than its siblings, with notes of peach and other yellow fruit, complex and nuanced. It's round and dense, with good ripeness at 14.5% alcohol, mellow acidity and a long, tender finish. This is rounder and softer, perhaps denoting a warmer year. For some reason, this wine does not carry the Rías Baixas appellation of origin. 6,000 bottles were produced. It was bottled in July 2021.
