Fuentenebro 2021
Description

The red 2021 Fuentenebro Tinto was produced with grapes from small plots of old vines at higher altitude in the zone of Soria, Fuentenebro and Moradillo, looking for a slow ripeness of the grapes. It fermented in concrete with indigenous yeasts and matured in 228-liter oak barrels for 11 months. It's a profile of wine with more fruit and freshness and less impact from the wood; it's approachable, juicy and more modern compared with the more classical Dominio de Nava. It has 14% alcohol, a pH of 3.6 and 5.05 grams of acidity, and it's juicy and fruit-driven with good freshness and a fruit-driven finish. 17,820 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2023.

Very nice for the price. As they say modern Ribera de Duero. Good body and finish yet young and refreshing. Worth repeating.
