Fragrant with hints of violets, peppery spice and red berries, the 2018 Fitou is an extremely promising tank sample. An unoaked blend of 37% Syrah, 35% Carignan and 28% Grenache, it's full-bodied but structured, with a firm frame built of wet stone and a long finish of crushed stone.

A blend of 37% Syrah, 35% Carignan, and 28% Grenache, the 2018 Fitou is a plump, incredibly sexy and sweetly fruited effort that has loads of jammy blackberry and black cherry fruits as well as notes of licorice, garrigue, and violets. It's another seamless, pleasure-bent wine from Carrel to drink over the coming 3-4 years.
