María is an equal blend of the two best vineyards on the property - El Circo and Violeta - located on different soil types. Curated in 25% new wood, this is typically well balanced and self-assured, with engaging violet and rose petal aromas, stylish 25% new French oak, a touch of chalky freshness and flavours of blackberry and pomegranate. 2027-40. 

The 2021 María was produced with grapes from two plots and cropped from one of the finest vintages in recent years. The grapes were picked on October 9 and fermented in 6,000-liter oak vats, with a soft maceration. It matured for 17 months in barrels and foudres, with 20% new barrels. The parameters are 14% alcohol, a pH of 3.7 and 5.51 grams of acidity. This is spicier, with notes of curry, and it's dense, juicy, powerful but balanced and elegant, with abundant, fine-grained tannins. It should age nicely in bottle and make a classical Ribera. 6,000 bottles and 100 magnums. It was bottled in July 2023. (Luis Gutiérrez)
